We have a patient who was literally upside down when he came in, constantly lying on his back and contorted!! Diagnosed with GME after an MRI and CSF tap, he’s been on prednisalone (can’t remember if he’s had cyclosporine as well) a few rounds of cytarabine and he’s doing well. He runs barks and plays!! He still has a small amount of ataxia in one of his back legs and when stresses he will start turning in your arms slightly but considering how he was when we first met him, he’s kicking goals!!! Whenever he comes into the hospital I say to other staff, “remember Gigi? The upside down dog? Look at him now!!”
