Hello! We rescued a 3 year old English Golden Retriever about 2 months ago. We lost our 14 year old Golden a few months before that. Her name is Luna. She came from a bad situation (used for breeding) and we spent a lot of money to get her healthy and spay her. She is calm and sweet and a wonderful dog. However since we got her she has been dribbling urine when sleeping and laying down, all day long. It is looking like she may have ectopic uterers (we are ruling other things out first). If this is the case not only does it cost a lot to diagnose her, the surgery is very expensive too. She has irritation from the constant exposure to urine despite us keeping her clean as we can. My husband is a 100 percent disabled Marine veteran and we got her for him to calm his PTSD (we couldn’t afford a service dog). We also have two adopted children from foster care and my daughter deals with some mental health stuff and Luna has eased some of her struggles. If she does have this condition, or we need to have diagnostics to verify it, we are afraid we will not be able to afford it. We are looking for some help with this so she can live a long healthy life with us and our four children. She deserves a good life after what she was put through. If you can point us in the right direction of an organization that can help I appreciate it.
